About Me

I'm Eddy Hidayat, a Singapore-based senior engineering and AI solutions leader focused on applied AI architecture, platform delivery, workflow automation, and technology transformation.

I've spent more than 20 years building software and more than 10 years leading engineering teams, platform delivery, architecture, and technical strategy across product environments, consulting engagements, and internal platform builds.

Today, my strongest focus is helping organisations move from AI ambition to deployed, governed, business-relevant systems. I work across AI-ready platform design, agentic workflow automation, local AI products, and practical delivery models that connect business goals with reliable engineering execution.

Experience & Focus

  • Applied AI Architecture: Designing AI-ready systems, data flows, model-evaluation patterns, and human-in-the-loop workflows that can move from prototype to operational use.
  • Leadership & Team Building: Led distributed teams across frontend, backend, QA, and DevOps, with a track record in onboarding, engineering standards, team clarity, and execution discipline.
  • Agentic Workflow Automation: Practical automation using messaging-driven interfaces, local AI workflows, and operational agents designed around control, reliability, and measurable business value.
  • Platform Delivery & Transformation: Turning ambiguous business goals into roadmaps, scalable architectures, delivery governance, and systems teams can ship, run, and improve.

I work best where engineering leadership, platform architecture, delivery ownership, and applied AI adoption need to come together in a single role.

Career Highlights

  • Built and led a 13-person engineering team across frontend, backend, QA, and DevOps while scaling platform delivery at Creadits.
  • Co-founded and architected Artstash, a cloud-native digital asset platform integrating Adobe After Effects, Unreal Engine, and distributed creative-production workflows.
  • Built applied AI and agentic systems, including machine learning pipelines, local AI product workflows, and agent-driven operational automation.
  • Delivered measurable operational outcomes, including 30%+ infrastructure cost reduction, around 40% workflow efficiency improvement, around 50% faster engineering onboarding, and 100% engineering team retention during high-growth delivery periods.

Selected Work

  • ChatStencil: A browser-based product for creating WhatsApp and Telegram-style chat workflow mockups for proposals, demos, documentation, and client review.
  • Complaint Narratives AI Triage: An applied ML and NLP case study comparing Naive Bayes, TF-IDF Logistic Regression, and a 1D CNN for complaint classification, with tuned Logistic Regression reaching a Macro F1 of 0.8493.
  • Rain-Risk ML Pipeline: A near-real-time AWS machine learning pipeline using Singapore weather data for short-horizon operational decision support.
  • Artstash: A cloud-native digital asset management platform for creative production workflows, including Adobe After Effects and Unreal Engine integrations.
  • Syntech Consulting: My consulting practice focused on digital transformation, platform modernisation, workflow automation, and AI-ready solution design.

Technical Foundation

  • Frontend

    React, React Native, Next.js

  • Backend

TypeScript (NestJS), Java (Spring Boot), PHP (Laravel), Node.js

  • Cloud & DevOps

AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD

  • Databases

    PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL

  • AI & Automation

ML pipelines, model evaluation, Whisper-based workflows, local AI orchestration, agentic automation

  • Delivery Tooling

Kafka, RabbitMQ, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, architecture documentation

Current Interests

  • Applied AI systems that solve operational problems instead of producing demo-only novelty.
  • Local-first products, self-hosted tooling, and practical automation with strong control over reliability and privacy.
  • Smart-home and ESP32 projects that keep my engineering work grounded in real-world workflows.
  • Piano and guitar when I want a different kind of problem to solve.
  • Hiking and the occasional 5km run when I need to clear my head.
